ABOUT

The Carolina Mustangs volleyball program was started in 2015 with the intention of filling two smalls teams, but the season started with enough girls to fill Middle School, Junior Varsity, and Varsity teams.

The Mustangs volleyball program is a highly competitive program for MS-Varsity girls. The season runs from August through October with an average of 18-20 games for the Middle School team. The MS team practices 2-3 times per week. We compete against charter schools, private schools, Christian schools, homeschool teams, and some public schools, all within a 45-50 mile radius of Durham, NC.

In 2016, The Mustangs were blessed to have over 20 girls come out for Middle School Volleyball. After a couple months of optional practices during the summer, The Mustangs held a skills evaluation and tryout for all the middle school athletes. Once the evaluations were complete, the girls were placed on either the Middle School Black team, or the Middle School Blue Team.

The Middle School Blue team is comprised of a group of girls who love volleyball, but are mainly beginner in their skill levels. This group of girls have worked harder than anyone could ever imagine to grow and work as a team, to learn the sport of volleyball, and to improve their skills by leaps and bounds. They have surpassed anything that we could have imagined for them in their love of the game, and in their hard work ethic that they present in every practice, and every game. This group of girls is the future of the Carolina Mustangs, and from what we have seen, the future of the Mustangs is very bright. We cannot wait to see what is in store for this group of girls for this season, and in the years to come.
