Carolina Mustangs Middle School Girls Basketball offers a fun and competitive team experience for homeschool girls ages 10-14. Girls as young as 9 may begin their Mustangs participation as practice players. Prior experience is not required and focus is placed on learning fundamentals of basketball, developing individual skills and team play, fostering enthusiasm for the sport and preparing girls for higher levels of play if they choose to continue in the sport.
Starting in 2019, Mustangs will roster MSG-A and MSG-B teams. The MSG season runs from mid-October through mid-February and includes two practices per week and 10-15 games. Games are generally scheduled on weekdays. The team travels to compete against homeschool teams, public, private and charter schools within a 45 minute radius of Durham.
